Every child is allocated to a 'Key Person'. This staff member is responsible for your child's progress and will compile a learning journey of your child’s time with us for you to keep once they move on to school.

Progress is assessed by observation and recorded using “Tapestry” an online learning journey which builds a very special record of a child’s experiences, development and learning journey through their early years. We use photos, videos, and diary entries, along with the child’s parents or carers, to ‘weave’ the story of the child and how they are growing and developing. The Tapestry platform then works seamlessly to keep these memories as a permanent record of each child’s unique journey. These observations will be used as a basis for planning the next steps for each child’s learning and development and are available for discussion with families at any time. A transfer record is also prepared for school or transfer to another nursery.

The data we collect is

1. Processed fairly, lawfully and in a transparent manner in relation to the data subject you and your family
2. Collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and not further processed for other purposes incompatible with those purposes.
3. Adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for relation to the purposes for which data is processed.
4. Accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date.
5. Kept in a form that permits identification of data subjects you and your family for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data is processed.
6. Processed in a way that ensures appropriate security of the personal data, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organisational measures. We will provide you with a privacy notice that gives you further details of how we fulfil our obligations with regard to your data.
